Corporate Manual (V1.0)
The SBTN Corporate Manual (V1.0) was published in response to corporate demand to make the target-setting process as accessible and actionable as possible.
This resource is intended to help corporate sustainability experts and nature leads set science-based targets for nature. It distills hundreds of pages of the Version 1 methods into one document, with a focus on clarity and simple language. It lays the groundwork for target setting by:
- helping prepare you for conversations with leadership to gain buy-in,
- to allocate necessary resources, and
- to brief staff or consultants.
This resource focuses on SBTN’s Version 1.0 methods. Similar resources for Science-Based Targets for Nature 2.0 are currently under development.
As of Spring 2025, the Corporate Manual (v1.0) is also available in Japanese, French, and Traditional Chinese.
