Turn ambition into impact with SBTN’s new initiative

Dear Colleague,

Last month, we announced new accelerated pathways that help companies get started faster with science-based targets for nature and scale their action over time.

Today, we take the next step by inviting companies to Step Up for Nature.

In this new initiative, companies collectively signal their ambition for credible nature action through science-based targets. To participate, companies share their next intended milestone and timeline toward setting targets – demonstrating  momentum for measurable, science-based progress.

By stepping up together, leading companies send a clear signal that, even in uncertain times, business is moving forward with integrity and momentum toward global goals for nature. With the 2026 Global Stocktake approaching next year, this initiative will demonstrate how companies are helping deliver measurable outcomes for nature – putting the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework into action.

We are also pleased to share that the Accountability Accelerator, our independent validation host, is supporting this launch by offering the first 25 companies to submit work for validation through Step Up for Nature a 50% reduction in validation service fees.

When companies act for nature, they act for their own resilience. I hope you’ll join us in turning ambition into impact through Step Up for Nature.
